Sheila Dikshit Rests In Peace After A Turbulent Political Career

Delhi’s longest serving Chief Minister and Congress leader, Sheila Dikshit, breathed her last at 03:55 PM in the Escorts Hospital in Delhi. Admitted to the hospital a few days ago, Ms. Dikshit suffered a cardiac arrest today.

Three-times Chief Minister

Sheila Dikshit remained Chief Minister of Delhi from 1998-2013 until the Arvind Kejriwal led AamAadmi Party came to power in the 2013 election. She represented Gole Market assembly from 1998-2003 and the New Delhi parliamentary constituency in 2008.

• Member of Indian delegationUnited Nations Commission on the Status of Women from 1948-89

• Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs from 1986-1989

She has two children – son Sandeep Dikshit and daughter Latika Syed. Her son is a former Member of Parliament of the 15th Lok Sabha from East Delhi.

Death

Sheila Dikshit died of a cardiac arrest on 20 July 2019 in Escorts Hospital in Delhi.

Trump Hushed Up His Illicit Affair With The Help Of Michael Cohen

The US President Donald Trump is said to be aware of the efforts made to silence a porn star and a Playboy centerfold about their alleged affair with Trump during 2016 US presidential election.

Revelation

The new court records released on Thursday shed more light on the role the US President played to bury stories about his alleged affairs with two women – porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal. But the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan said nothing on the revelation.

The statement was recorded by two anonymous people familiar with the matter. But the federal prosecutors that are already investing the charges of illegal money paid to the said women decided not to file any additional charges.

Prosecution

The federal prosecutors investigating the role of Trump’s then lawyer Michael Cohen said that they also investigated whether anyone made false statements or tried obstructing justice by giving false testimonies in the court.

The phone records clearly show that Trump was in contact with Cohen from October 8 to 28. This was the time when Trump was looking for ways to contain the stories regarding his illicit affair.

The prosecutors have Cohen’s phone records and text messages he used to communicate with Daniel’s lawyer Keith Davidson. Cohen thanked Davidson for the favor. Cohen pleaded guilty to financial crimes and serving three-year prison term.

Trump’s version

The US President Donald Trump denied the allegations and the knowledge of illicit money being paid to the said women to maintain silence during Trump’s election campaign.

Google’s Doodle Gives More Insight On The First Lunar Mission

Google celebrates 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 Mission by dedicating its Doodle to the first lunar mission of mankind. The Doodle takes the viewers through the journey to the moon and highlights the challenges the three astronauts faced while navigating into an unknown and unexplored world.

The Doodle gives an eyewitness narration of the journey in the words of Michael Collins, former astronaut and command module pilot of Apollo 11. Also, it unearths the facts that were hitherto unknown to the world.

For example, approximately 4 lac people belonging to different trades including construction workers and the astronauts were associated with the mission.

The historic journey

It began on 16 July 1969 at 13:32 UTC in the most powerful rocket of that time – the Saturn V – blasting off from Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida.

Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins were going to create history by entering into the lunar orbit for the first time. After navigating in the space for three days, the trio entered the lunar orbit and prepared for the landing. The entire world was watching the mission with bated breath.

The day for which the world was eagerly waiting came on 20 July 1969 when the two astronauts – Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin – landed in the Sea of Tranquility in their vehicle Eagle. Neil Armstrong first put his foot on the moon and said “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Michael Collins remained in the command module to provide technical and logistical support to the men on the moon.

Overall Support For Donald Trump Remains Unaffected From His Racial Remarks

The US President Donald Trump enjoys firm support of Republicans even after facing flak for his racial tweet against four minority Democratic congresswomen.

Reuters conducted an online poll opinion in England and declared that support for Donald Trump has increased by 5 percentage points to 72% in comparison to similar poll conducted last week. But the net approval – the percentage of approval mins the percentage of disapproval – is down by 2 points among Democrats.

But Trump’s overall performance remained stable over the past week, according to poll results. 41% of the US voters still support Trump but 55% of voters disapproved Trump for his actions.

Pakistan Reports on Kulbhushan Jadhav: Whose success is this?

On Wednesday, India celebrated the Kulbhushan Jadhav Verdict by the International Court of justice. Whereas Pakistan claimed it as own success. Pakistan media showed a different picture of the whole statement in favour of their country as our domestic media.

In today headlines of Pakistan media, ICJ reacts India’s Request for Kulbhushan Jadhav’s exoneration. They are claiming, the ICJ rejected all remedies and Jadhav’s belief and death sentence doesn’t encroach upon Vienna settlement.

According to Tribune reports, they said the ICJ judgment, ruined all hopes of India that were on the international court.

On the other hand, the army spoke’s speaker of Pakistan, Major General Asif Ghafoor said the governing authenticated military courts. He also said February 27 was another judgment for India.

The ICJ said, Pakistan has found the violation of article 36 but on the punishment of Kulbhushan, it is not be watched as article 36.

Bombs found in Grenfell Street in Adelaide, police say it was not a terror attack!

On the reports, the explosives found in Grenfell Street in Adelaide CBD. It has been found near at residential buildings.

After getting an information form the folk, police investigation team reached there at 12.30pm to conduct the place and possible shreds of evidence.

In the research, they have found it is not a terror attack, they are just commercial explosives. Therefore, a 40-year-old-man arrested from the building.

Terrors were not involved!!

Police said they were quite sure this was not a terror attack and after an investigation, they found this was true.
