Airport’s Runway Padlocked after heavy rainfall in Mumbai, 54 flights diverted

The Mumbai Airport’s Runway Continued closed on Tuesday after the landing of SpiceJet plane skin and overshot the main runway because of heavy rainfall.

According to ANI reports. More than 54 flights were diverted to nearby airports Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja International Airport. Also, few flights have been delayed, said Flightradar24.

More than 80 flights have been cancelled from Mumbai due to poor traffic and rain.

On the official note, A SpiceJet Flight SG6237 was coming from Jaipur to Mumbai, skid and overshot the main runway at around 11:45 pm on Monday. The good thing is none of the passengers were injured during the landing.

Now, Mumbai airport operated flights from the second runway and the flights have been diverted from the other airports.

The Korean flight was coming to Mumbai has been diverted to Ahmedabad due to poor weather conditions and passenger safety.

Similarly, the other flights have been diverted. The government said the only emergency landing will take place in Mumbai. Authorities shave advised the people to stay calm and stay in homes.

Shocking news, 12 people died and six injured after collapsed in Malad on Tuesday. The team of NDRF said, our team reached the site just after the incident and received information. The local police and other safety measured reached the palace soon.
