Hardik Pandya Engaged To A Serbian Actress

Hardik Pandya took to Instagram to break the news of his engagement with Serbia actress Natasa Stankovic. He posted a picture of him and Natasa on his Instagram account and gave it the caption “Mai tera, Tu meri jaane, saara Hindustan. 01.01.2020 #engaged”.

Fans flooded the Instagram page of the 26-year old all-rounder as soon as the news of his engagement went public. His teammates were the first to send him best wishes for getting engaged with the beautiful model. Kuldeep Yadav was first to congratulate the cricketer for his engagement.

Cricket career of Hardik Pandya

Recuperating from a back injury, Hardik Pandya has to miss out on the T20I and ODI series against Bangladesh and West Indies. Also, he is kept out of the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka and Australia. But the Board of Control for Cricket is considering him for India A’s squad for the New Zealand tour.

Last international match Hardik Pandya played was a T20I against South Africa in September 2019. After the series, he went to London for a surgery to cure his lower back problem in October.

He revealed why he decided to take the surgery after the T20I match. He thought that he must get fit before the World T20 and he needed at least a couple of months to fully recover from the surgery. He wanted to play IPL and World T20 and for this reason he went for the treatment to become fit to join the team.

Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti: Interesting Facts About The Life Of Tenth Guru In Sikhism

The birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of Sikhs, is falling on the second day of the New Year 2020. He was born on 22 December 1666 according to Gregorian calendar but his birth anniversary is calculated according to lunar calendar and for this reason celebrated on this day.

He became guru at the tender age of 9 and did miraculous deed during is lifetime. He stood up against the Mughals who were doing injustice to the people of other faiths at that time. He set up an army of saint soldiers and named it “Khalsa”. He maintained a strict code of conduct and spiritual discipline and asked his army to follow the code. Guru Gobind Singh was both a military and spiritual leader whose teachings still inspire many, even today.

It was Guru Gobind Singh who developed Sikhism as a religion and announced that Guru Granth Sahib to be the eternal Sikh Guru that the Sikhs should turn to the Holy Scripture for teachings.

The celebrations start with processions displaying the events related to life of Guru Gobind Singh. Today these processions have also become a medium to spread social messages. The processions are followed by prayer meetings at gurudwaras.

Sikh people distribute sweets and food to those coming to gurudwaras and even to those passing by the gurudwaras. Also, they do karsewa cleaning shoes of the visitors and organizing fee medical camps for needy people.

Indian Railways Hiked Fares By 1 Paise And 4 Paise Per KM

Indian Railways announced a hike in fare in its train excluding suburban trains. According to the order, the fair hike would start from January 1, 2020.

Fare hike by Indian Railways

Fare of suburban railways has left untouched in the new hike but ordinary non-AC and non-suburban fares are hiked by 1 paise per km of journey. A 2 paise/km hike was introduced in fares of mail/express non-AC trains and 4 paise/km hike in the fares of AC classes.

The new fare in premium trains

Premium trains included in the fare hike are Shatabdi, Rajdhani and Duronto. After 4 paise/km hike, fare of the Delhi-Kolkata Rajdhani would increase by around Rs. 58.

The order further states that the no changes in reservation fees and superfast charges are introduced. Also, the hike won’t be applicable to tickets that are already booked.

Islamic begins with the Muharram moon. Inspired by the moon, the Islamic calendar has its 12 months revolving around the solar calendar once in 33 years.

Sindhis begin their New Year with Cheti Chand festival that falls on Dwitiya of Chaitra Shukla. They believe that god Julelal that were an incarnation of god Varuna born on that day.

Sikhs celebrate their New Year on Baisakhi that comes in April. According to the Sikh Nanakshahi calendar, Hola Mohalla is the New Year. It falls on the next day of Holi.
