Google Arts & Culture is celebrating 75 years of Independence with a vibrant online project named ‘India ki Udaan’. The project draws from rich archives and features artistic illustrations to highlight the milestones the country has achieved in its journey of 75 years.

India Ki Udaan’ On 75 Years of Independence

Available on the website of Google Arts & Culture, the project is a tribute to India’s rich cultural history. It features iconic moments since independence for the country to relive, experience, and be inspired.

Published in English and Hindi, the project contains a wealth of knowledge created by 10 artists. There are over 120 illustrations, 21 stories, and exhibitions from various institutions especially the Ministry of Tourism, Museum of Art & Photography, Heritage Directorate of the Indian Railways, the Indian Academy of Sciences, and Dastkari Haat Samiti.

What is Doodle4Google 2022 Contest?

Themed ‘In the next 25 years, my India will….’, is an open contest for students of classes 1-10. China yesterday fired five ballistic missiles that landed on the waters claimed by Japan. These firings are seen as a protest against the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The 82-years US official is on a high-profile Asian tour of Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. Presently she is in Japan on the last leg of her tour.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida met Nancy Pelosi for breakfast and talked to reporters after the meeting. He called for the immediate halt of the Chinese military drill saying that Chinese actions had a serious impact on the peace and stability of the region and the international community.

Celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ With Reliance Jio’s 5G-Enabled Services

Reliance Jio is gearing up to roll out an advanced 5G network after buying spectrum worth ₹ 88,078 crore in the auctions. Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm, Akash M Ambani, said that would celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with a pan India 5G rollout.

  1. Jio has been allotted spectrum in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 3300 MHz, and 26 GHz bands.
  2. Jio will be the only operator providing pan-India 5G services in the 700MHz spectrum. It has bought spectrum worth ₹ 39,270 crore in the coveted 700 MHz bands and radiowaves worth ₹ 1,050 crore for spectrum in the 800 MHz band.
  3. Jio paid ₹ 33,740 crore for radiowaves in the 3300 MHz bands, ₹ 6,990 crore in the 26 GHz band, and ₹ 7,027 crore in the 1800 MHz band.
  4. Jio owns the highest spectrum footprint, 26,772 MHz (uplink-downlink), in the country. Its total payment for spectrum across multiple bands has also increased to ₹ 7,877 crore.
  5. Mr. Ambani said that Jio was committed to offering world-class, affordable 5G and 5G-enabled services. The company would accelerate the country’s digital revolution, especially in the education, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, and e-governance sectors.
  6. Mr. Ambani further said that Jio’s 5G network would enable the digital solutions that would accelerate India’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) driven march towards becoming a $5 trillion-plus economy.
  7. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that out of the 72,098 MHz of spectrum offered across 10 bands, 51,236 MHz, or 71%, was sold in recently concluded auctions.
  8. The minister further said that bids worth ₹ 1,50,173 crore were received. The government will get ₹ 13,365 crore in the first year.
