Rajiv Kapoor Surprises Everyone With His Motivational Story

Toolsidas Junior is a sports flick but it will be much better to call it a father-son movie as the story is based on the love of a son for his father. Also, it became the last movie of the late actor Rajiv Kapoor, while earlier it was speculated to be the comeback movie of the late actor.

Story

Toolsidas (Rajiv Kapoor) is an ace snooker player who takes pride in saying that he only plays for his son, Toolsidas Junior (Varun Buddhadev). As expected from a passionate player, Toolsidas looks for the opportunity of defeating champions. He promises his son to bring home a trophy by defeating a five-time champion Jimmy Tondon (Dalip Tahhil) in a tournament. Toolisdas Junior also feels proud but his dream is shattered when his father faces a humiliating defeat by the champion. But it inspires Toolsidas Junio to fulfill the dream of his father. He sets out to learn the game from a master and finds a mentor in Mohammed Salam (Sanjay Dutt).

Jhund is a biography written like poetry. It is the story of a sports teacher who transforms the lives of slum children with football. He shows how a game can improve the quality of life of kids, especially those standing on the verge of an abusive life.

Story

Vijay Borade (Amitabh Bachchan) is a retired sports teacher but an energetic body and mind. Post-retirement, he sets out to change the lives of slum children with a ball. He decides to train them in football after seeing them playing with a plastic bucket. Vijay Borade thinks that if these kids are kept busy in the game, they won’t become victims of the abusive life of a slum. And he starts an NGO to train them in football and organizes a football tournament for slum children.

Story

She starts snooping in the life of Bachchan Pandey to make her movie as realistic as possible but is caught by Bachchan Pandey. She fears for her life but the story takes a different turn.

A young Krishna Pandit (Darshan Kumar) learns from his grandfather Pushkar Nath (Anupam Kher) that his parents died in an accident. He grows up believing so until he comes in contact with a liberal professor of his college Radhika Menon (Pallavi Joshi) from who he learns about the plight of Kashmiri Pandit and their exodus from their motherland Kashmir. After the death of his grandfather, he takes his ashes to Kashmir where he meets some of the old friends of his grandfather and faces the bitter truth of the killing of his parents. Only A Few Reasons To Watch The Movie

Radhe Shyam starring Prabhash, Pooja Hegde, Bhagyasree, Sachin Khedkar, Priyadarshi, Sathyaran, and Murli Sharma has been released and is garnering a mixed response from the viewers. While the viewers are appreciating the new lover-boy look of Prabhas, some of them find the story boring, especially in the second half.

Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness: Ajay Devgn Performs Well But Story Misses Indianization

Rudra: The Edge of Darkness is in the news for two reasons, first, Ajay Devgn, and second, Indianized version of the British TV show Luther. While the first episode was well received by the audience, it will be too early to make an opinion on the web series.

Story

DCP Rudra Veer Singh (Ajay Devgn) in the Special Crime Unit of the Mumbai Police is the best mind at work, but he always remains on the radar of the department due to his style of working. Also, his obsession with the police job costs him dearly in terms of a troubled married life. But his job takes him closer to a child prodigy, Dr. Aliyah Choksi (Raashi Khanna) who’s herself a double murder suspect. But the two develop good chemistry.

Highlights Of The Series:

• The slow-burning chemistry of Ajay Devgn and Raashi Khanna is the heart of the crime-thriller
• It looks more western than the original series Luther
• The crime-thriller is made free from fancy cuts or special effects so the scenes move fast
• Satyadeep Mishra as a soft-spoken and unproblematic boyfriend of Devgn’s estranged wife looks good
• Among baddies, KC Shankar has portrayed the character of a blood-chugging superstar painter well
• Hemant Kher also looks good in a scary role

Rudra The Edge Of Darkness

Downside Of The Series:

• The writers miserably failed to truly Indianize the foreign material. Except for Marathi-speaking cops, nothing looks Indian in the series.
• The crime-thriller misses the cultural flavor that other web series of its genre has. It doesn’t have the Pataal Lok-like feel or the Sacred Games.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is a crime drama loosely based on the real-life story of Gangubai Harjivandas. She’s the same Gangubai whose life story was documented by S. Hussain Zaidi in his book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. This time it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali extending the character of Gangubai Kathiawadi with his direction.

Story

Gangubai Harjivandas dreams of becoming an actress but falls in love with Ramnik Lal who happens to be her father’s accountant. Ramnik Lal convinces Gangubai to elope to Mumbai where she can start a new life and fulfill her dream as well. Unaware of his plans, 16-year-old Gangubai elopes with him. In Mumbai, Ramnik Lal sells Gangubai to a brothel in Kamathipura for only Rs. 500. Forced into prostitution, Gangubai Kathiawadi grows into a powerful brothel madame.
