The Miz snatched the WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre in a spectacular show of strength in the Elimination Chamber. He ran with his Money in the Bank briefcase before McIntyre, who was celebrating his victory over 5 other superstars.

How things unfolded for The Miz?

Bobby Lashley caught Drew McIntyre unaware and attacked McIntyre hard. At the same time, The Miz ran with the briefcase. A surprised McIntyre tried to stop The Miz with his kick but couldn’t do much after he got a Skull Crushing attack. It was a spectacular show by both The Miz and McIntyre who lost his WWI Championship for the second time since Wrestlemania 36.

How Drew McIntyre eliminated others?

The first one to get eliminated by McIntyre was Randy Orton. He was pinned by Kofi Kingston. And Kofi Kingston was shown the door with a Brogue Kick by Sheamus. Jeff Hardy did show some impressive flying moves but couldn’t withstand a Claymore Kick by the champion.

Sheamus was too close to eliminating the champion when he gave a strong Brogue Kick to the champion, but couldn’t withstand a Phenomenal Forearm by AJ Styles. Now there are only two wrestlers in the chamber. AJ Styles again tried the same move on champion, but was cowed down by a Claymore Kick by McIntyre.

Other important matches

Riddle beat Bobby Lashley and John Morrison to win the United States Championship. In another match, the team of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler beat the team of Sasha Baks and Bianca Belair with outside interference.

First, it was the England forward, Marcus Rashford, who scored the first goal for Man U in the 30th minute by displaying neat footwork. Six minutes later, the Newcastle took advantage of a poor clearance by Harry Maguire when its Allan Saint-Maximin shot the first goal for the visitors.

Man U looked more determined in the second half when they scored two more goals in the 57th and 74th minutes by Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes respectively. Manchester United allowed little room to Newcastle in the second half and it was evident in their game.

See The Spectacular Image Of Perseverance’s Mars Landing

Perseverance has started sending the initial pictures of Mars to NASA. The US space agency released those pictures for public. But it isn’t known whether the sound on Mars was recorded. But NASA is hopeful of getting sound clips from Mars for the first time.

One of the first images showing landing of Perseverance was extracted from the video recorded by the spacecraft that carried Perseverance to Mars. In the image, the robot is seen connected to three straight and a curly wire. The straight wires are cables holding the jetpack and the curly wire is data transmission cable. The image shows last leg of landing when the Perseverance was slowed down to the speed of 1.7 miles.

Honeycomb of rocks seen in the image

The honeycomb of rocks seen with the six-wheeled robot are believed to be about 3.6 billion years old. NASA deputy project scientist Katie Stack Morgan said that they were excited to know whether those rocks were volcanic or sedimentary. Volcanic rocks are easier to study.

Parachuting Perseverance

In another image, the jetpack is seen parachuting from the spacecraft. At this point, it was accelerating towards the surface of Mars at a speed of hundreds of miles an hour. But the most colorful and exciting image was of flat region of Jezero Crater that was a river and deep lake billions of years ago. Perseverance will send more detailed photograph of Mars in the coming days and bring some samples on the returning flight.

Why China took a long time in accepting human loss in Galwan Valley clash?

The clash took between Indian army and China’s PLA when the latter prevented the Indian soldiers from accessing Indian points. In the clash, the Chinese soldiers brought medieval-styled weapons. India lost 20 brave soldiers including Colonel Santosh Babu, the Commanding Officer of 16 Bihar in the clash. But China denied losing any human life in that fight.

Qian Feng, director of the research department at the National Strategy Institute at Tsinghua University said while giving a reason for delay in accepting human loss by China is that it wanted to refute previous disinformation that stated China suffered greater casualties than India.

Who first reported Chinese casualties?

The Northern Army Commander of India gave a figure of 45 soldiers that were killed in the Galwan clash with Indian army. A Russian news agency TASS reported that figure on February 10 but China remained in the denial mode until disclosing names of its deceased soldiers and honoring them.

What is the present situation on Indo-China border?

After Galwan clash, both the nations decided to create a buffer-zone that will be no-man’s land to prevent such clashes in future. Also, both the militaries are disengaging their soldiers from the banks of the Pangong lake in eastern Ladakh.

What Safe Landing Of Perseverance Means For NASA And The World?

NASA successfully landed Perseverance on Mars on Thursday. Its safe landing on a vast crater on Mars’ surface is no less than a big feat for the pandemic stricken US that is also battling economic slowdown for the same reason.

What is Perseverance?

It is a self-guided science rover with the most advanced astrobiology laboratory on the mission Mars to collect signs of life on the Red Planet. It travelled for seven months to cover a distance of 293 million miles to reach its destination. It entered the Mars’ atmosphere at a speed of 12,000 miles per hour and landed safely on Jezero Crater that is a long-vanished Martian lake bed.

Was there life on Marsh?

Perseverance will collect possible fossilized signs of microbes that were believed to live on Mars some 3 billion years ago. Scientists are of the opinion that Mars had water that made it hospitable to life. This project cost the US $2.7 billion and two years. Perseverance will extract the samples embedded on Mars surface for future analysis by scientists on earth.

US Mars mission

The US started its Mars project on 1965 by sending the first fly-by spacecraft, Mariner but Perseverance is the most ambitious project of its Mars mission as it is equipped with much larger and advanced equipment than its predecessors.

The Perseverance payload includes the project to pay way for safe human exploration of Marsh. It carries a device that will convert the carbon dioxide gas on Mars in pure oxygen needed for human survival.

The study mentioned Oort cloud made up of icy pieces of debris of the size of big mountains. It is a giant spherical shell enveloping the solar system like a bubble. And it is this region that sends long-period comets to the orbit. Long-period comets are also called sungrazers as they go too close to the sun. And they take almost 200 years to orbit the sun.

These long-standing comet face sun’s heat while doing their orbit and break into pieces due to the heat impact. That pieces when reach earth could create Chicxulub size impactor, the event that killed dinosaurs.

The year long absence of Ri Sol Ju from state media fueled doubts about her health due to coronavirus. But South Korea’s spy agency gave a different reason. It said that Ri Sol Ju could have been taking care of their children to avoid exposure to the pandemic. The agency also said that North Korea hacked Pfizer Inc. to draw information on its COVID-19 vaccine program and treatment.

Ri Sol Ju’s life so far

Ri started as a cheerleader in a North Korean cheer leading squad and went on to marrying Kim Jong Un in 2009. The couple are expected to have three children, but there’s no official word about their kids.
