Offside Abraham Scored A Winning Goal For Chelsea

Chelsea entered into the FA Cup quarterfinals after beating Barnsley by 1-0 on Thursday match. It was a tough game for both but The Blues got a lead in the second half.

Tammy Abraham scored the only goal

Was it a goal? Or Abraham was offside as appealed by Barnsley players. He was seen marginally offside in video replay. But, since, non-Premier League venues don’t use VAR, all efforts of Barnsley players went in vain. They cried a lot but their voices weren’t heard and Abraham was allowed to score the lonely goal of the match.

Abraham said that it was never easy to reach there. They were a good side. He further said he knew that chances would come and that he only needed to on the right side on the right time.

New Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was frustrated

Chelsea played well under Tuchel but the new manager that has just replaced Frank Lampard last month wasn’t satisfied with the performance of his team. He said that they could do better and he was expecting more from his team but they had to contend with one goal that they scored in the second half.

Barnsley missed opportunities

Chelsea had all new faces but Barnsley refused to bow down before The Blues. Barnsley played very well but they missed an opportunity at 78th minute when Abraham cleared a shot by Michael Sollbauer. Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael said that the chances were 50/50.
