The New Bajaj Pulsar N160 Bike Is Competing With These Fantastic Machines

Bajaj Auto up the bar for its competitors in the Indian market by launching a new Pulsar N160 sports commuter bike. Second model based on the new Pulsar 250 platform, the Pulsar N160 bike comes with both single-channel and dual-channel ABS versions priced at Rs.1.22 and Rs.1.27 respectively.

At first sight, it looks like a baby Pulsar of its bigger 250 variants launched in October last year. It features a similar bi-functional LED projector headlamp with LED DRLs as found in the earlier version. Also, the bikers are provided with a user-friendly USB mobile charger. The color scheme arranged for Pulsar N160 includes Racing Red, Techno grey, and Caribbean Blue for the single-channel ABS version and Brooklyn Black paint for the dual-channel ABS version.

Pulsar N160 Mechanics

The big change made by Bajaj Auto in Pulsar N160 is the use of a smaller displacement motor. It is a 164.82cc engine that generates a power of 15.7bhp at 8,750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm. The 17-inch alloy wheels are fitted with 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes. The wheel size of the bike is 100/80 R17 section for the front and 130/70 R17 section for the rear. To total curb weight of the machine is 154 kg.
