Bihar Makes 16,351 KM Long Human Chain With 4.27 Crore People For Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumarwill make a Guinness Book record by making a human chain stretching 16,351 km and reaching all over Bihar. A total of 4.27 crore people are expected to take part in the human chain process

Bihar human chain for environment

This human chain will in support of the pro-environment conservation efforts of the Bihar government. The efforts are to impede the climate change with the name of “Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali”. But it isn’t the first time that a human chain is attempted. In the first attempt, 2 crore people made a 11,292 km long human-chain in 2017. The second time a human chain was made in 2017 when 4 crore people made a 14,000 km long chain in 2018.

Greenery in Bihar

The state has only 4% of land under forest cover but it wants to improve its forest land up to 33%. And the government has a budget of Rs. 24,500 crore for the “Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali” project aimed at bolstering forest and water resources mandatory for all forms of life. The government has sanctioned 19 crore from the fund for this project.

The Bihar human chain

Starting from Gandhi Maidan in Patna to stretching to Kishanganj in east and Bagaha in the northwest. Bihar government has hire 15 choppers for videography of the chain formation. Videographers would shoot the formation of human-chain from sky. State education department official Vinodanand Jha would coordinate the event. He said that the BJP has instructed all its cadres including the legislators to join the chain.
