Tenaya Taylor is a singer, actor, and now the first woman of color to become Maxim Magazine’s Sexiest Woman Alive. And it was the biggest surprise for the 30-year-old model who took to Instagram to express her delight of becoming the first black woman to receive the honor.

“Someone pinch me,” said the model on receiving the news of becoming the Sexiest Woman Alive in the Maxim Hot 100 list. She called it a journey of self-reflection and self-confidence and that shooting for the magazine wholeheartedly made her nervous.
It was a dope experience for the beautiful star. And she recalled that she had to take her five-year-old daughter Iman Jr “Junie” to school on that day. The actor recalled that she experienced a different side of her on that day. She dropped Junie at school and headed straight for the photoshoot.

Wearing sweatpants, a beanie, and an army jacket, Tenaya Taylor rushed for the photoshoot without getting a hairstyle. She didn’t style her hair as she was planning to throw on a wig. Also, she didn’t do any makeup. So, it was a rush hour job that became perfect.
Tenaya Taylor was so surprised that she wanted some to help her understand that she had been selected to become the Sexiest Woman Alive. It was really a big moment for Tenaya and her family.
Married to NBA player Iman Shumpert, Tenaya Taylor is the mother of two sweet daughters. Junie is her first daughter and nine-month-old Rue is the second daughter.
