Gujarat Titans coach Gary Kirsten credited Hardik Pandya for the massive win of the team over Rajasthan Royals. He said Hardik Pandya was eager to learn as a captain and he could engage with his teammates. Hardik Pandya excelled both as skipper and player in Gujarat Titans’ very first win in the IPL.

Kirsten who was the coach when India won the 2011 World Cup title said that Hardik Pandya had been fantastic and that he had looked forward to working with Pandya. Kirsten said that Pandya was a high-profile player in India but he was incredibly humble, wanting to learn as a leader and engage with teammates. Pandya had tried to help the youngsters, Kirsten said to the IPL host broadcaster.

IPL 2022: LSG Win Against PBKS Has Little Impact On Points Table

Punjab attack restricted Lucknow Super Giants to 153/8 with Rabada taking 4 wickets but they couldn’t win because of fine display of bowling by LSG. Mohsin Khan dismissed 3 batsmen and Krunal Pandya bowled out 2 players for just 13 runs in his four overs. In batting, Quinton de Kock scored 46 and Deepak Hooda made 34 runs for LSG. But it was the bowling attack that helped LSG register a 20-run victory over PBKS.

Punjab Kings maintains its seventh position on the points table even after the defeat by LSG. Royal Challengers and Delhi Capitals hold the fifth and sixth positions respectively.

Kolkata Night Riders are eighth and Chennai Super Kings are ninth on the table. Mumbai Indians are still at the tenth position as they have yet to register a win in this season.
