IPL 2022: LSG Win Against PBKS Has Little Impact On Points Table

It was a superb display of bowling by Lucknow Super Giants that made them victorious against a closely fought match with Punjab Kings at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Punjab attack restricted Lucknow Super Giants to 153/8 with Rabada taking 4 wickets but they couldn’t win because of fine display of bowling by LSG. Mohsin Khan dismissed 3 batsmen and Krunal Pandya bowled out 2 players for just 13 runs in his four overs. In batting, Quinton de Kock scored 46 and Deepak Hooda made 34 runs for LSG. But it was the bowling attack that helped LSG register a 20-run victory over PBKS.

With the recent win, LSG moved to the third position on the points table followed by SunRisers Hyderabad at the number four. Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals are at the first and second positions respectively. Gujarat Titans has scored 14 points from 8 matches.

Punjab Kings maintains its seventh position on the points table even after the defeat by LSG. Royal Challengers and Delhi Capitals hold the fifth and sixth positions respectively.

Kolkata Night Riders are eighth and Chennai Super Kings are ninth on the table. Mumbai Indians are still at the tenth position as they have yet to register a win in this season.
