He was blind with one eye. The incident surprised Kate so much that she burst into tears. The man was blind with one eye but he was still able to recognize Kate.

US Reports Sighting Of Kim Jong Un’s Train Amid His Health Rumours

A Washington-based North Korea monitoring project, 38 North,spotted a special train possibly belonging to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a resort town in the country. The train was parked the “leadership station” in Wonsan on April 21 and 23. But Reuters is yet to confirm presence of Kim Jong Un at the reported place.

The report said that the train sighting had nothing to do with the health of Kin Jong Un but it was about his whereabouts. He could be in an elite area on eastern cost of the country. 38 North has been tracking Kim Jong Un since reports about his ill health started emerging. According to media reports of North Korea, the leader was last seen presiding over a meeting on April 11.

Health of Kim Jong Un

Speculation of his health first emerged when he missed the celebrations of the birth anniversary of his grandfather and founding father of North Korea, Kim II Sung on April 15. According to an unnamed source, he had undergone medical treatment in the resort county of Hyangsan north of the capital Pyongyang.

The report said that the leader was recovering after undergoing a cardiovascular procedure. The entire world is concerned about his ill health because North Korea has no successor of Kim Jong Un and the country is aggressively pursuing weaponization of nuclear arms. Recently China sent a team of medical experts to North Korea to help Kim Jon Un.

Meteor 350 Fireball Is The New Bike From Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield is preparing to launch Meteor 350 Fireball in competition to Imperiale 400 of Benelli and Jawa Forty-Two. While the Royal Enfield’s is yet to be formally launched, its pictures with important details including price have been leaked on the web.

Design

The screenshots grabbed during a TVC shoot show that the new design is based on J1D platform. The leaked images show the bike with a rounded headlamp cluster with LED DRLs and circular tail light. It has a twin-pod instrument panel and stepped seat. Also, the company is offering a tinted flyscreen as an optional accessory at a cost of Rs. 1,750.

Engine

The Meteor 350 Fireball is powered by the same 349 cc single-cylinder engine found in the Classic 350 model. But the new model will come with a fuel-injection upgraded BS6 emission norms. And it will produce a power of 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

Suspension

There could be telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. And both the ends have disc brakes assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard.

Colours and price

Royal Enfield could launch the Meteor 350 Fireball in exciting bright shades that were seen on the Thunderbird X. The company is launching the new model as replacement to the Thunderbird 350 and it could cost approximately Rs. 1.68 lack at ex-showroom price.

Over 12 Million Audiences Attended Scott’s Virtual Concert

Travis Scott gave a spectacular virtual performance. It was the first time that he mounted a virtual stage to perform and he went on to break a record. According to the developer Epic Games, approximately 12.3 million concurrent players participated in the event. The concert took place inside of the Fortnite.

April 23 is celebrated as World Book and Copyright Day by UNESCO and other related organizations. Observed in more than 100 countries, it is celebration of books and reading material. Also, it is homage to renowned literary figures including William Shakespeare, Miguel Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.

Director General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, gave the theme in his words. He said that books had the unique ability both to entertain and to teach. There were at once a means of exploring realms beyond the personal experience through exposure to different authors, universes and cultures.

History of World Book Day

Theidea was to honor the renowned author, Miguel de Cervantes better known for Don Quixote. Valencian writer Vicente Clavel Andressuggested celebrating a World Book Day on October 7, the birth anniversary of Cervantes but he later changed the date to April 23, that is the death anniversary of Cervantes. Co-incidentally, several other renowned authors have death anniversaries on April 23.

Significance of World Book Day

It is celebrated to recognize the role of books as a link between the past and the future. And it is an addition to being a cultural and generational bridge. UNESCO selects the World Book Capital for a year to continue celebrations of books and reading. Last year, Sharjah in UAE was the capital and this year, Kuala Lumpur is recognized as the capital.

The World Book Day is used as a platform for authors, publishers, readers and NGOs and everyone to come together to promote readership and literacy.

COVID- 19 Vaccine: Human Trial Starts Today

University of Oxford will start human trial of its coronavirus vaccine from April 23 according to UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock. The official said that the government had thrown everything at developing a vaccine.

Presently, the universities of Oxford and Imperial College are working on developing a potential coronavirus vaccine in UK. Matt Hancock said that he could announce that the vaccine from the Oxford project would be trialed on people from April 23. He further said that it would take years to achieve this stage in normal times but he was very proud of the work taken that far. Hancock was speaking in a press conference that was later broadcasted on Twitter.

Coronavirus vaccine fund

The UK government had allocated GBP 44.5 million (Rs. 420 crore) to both the universities working on coronavirus vaccine. The allocated fund would be used for clinical trails that ad been making rapid progress, added the secretary. He further said that the government was ready to fund manufacturing of the vaccine.

In case, either of the vaccine works safely, the government will pump finance in manufacturing to boost production and made the vaccines available for UK citizens as humanely as possible.

UK coronavirus cases

According to data shared by the UK Department of Health and Social Care, the country had 129,044 confirm cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic. The number of deaths due to coronavirus were 17,337 till Tuesday.

Reports about deteriorating health of Kin Jong-Un, the supreme leader of North Korea, started surfacing when he missed the birth celebration of his grandfather and the founder of the nation, Kim II Sung. The last time Kim Jong-Un was seen publicly on April 11 during a meeting of the ruling Worker’s Party politburo.

Birth anniversary of founding father of North Korea

April 15 is the most important day in North Korea. On this day, the entire country celebrates the birth anniversary of Kim II Sung. And according to a report, this day is celebrated without any official mention of Kim Jong-Un’s movements. But his absence in the celebrations sparked speculations about his health.

Absence of Kim Jong II in 2008

In 2008, when the country was celebrating 60th anniversary of North Korea, Kim Jong II was nowhere to be seen. His absence fuelled speculations about his health. Later it was revealed that he had a stroke. But his health continued to decline until he died in 2011.

According to a research scholar and an official, if Kim Jung-Un was hospitalised, it would be mentioned in a report. Also, the official said that there had been a number of false rumours about the health of Kim Jung-Un over the years.

There is no official word from anywhere about the health condition of the supreme North Korean leader Kim Jung-Un.
