• A graduate in banking, Manya Singh said that it wasn’t her dream to be a Miss India even she didn’t know anything about Miss India pageant when she was a teen. She only wanted to do something for society and went to Miss India pageant on knowing that it provides a platform to girls that want to do something.

• She said that she wanted to provide a better life to her parents. She remembered all the hardships, tears and toils she had to go through while selling their own home and shifting to a rented accommodation. She said that she even couldn’t walk with heels in her rented house because of objections.
