Manchester United scored its spot in the last 16 of the Europa League by beating Club Brugge with 6-1. And what was more exciting is that almost all the Reds including Bruno Fernandes, OdionIghalo, Scott McTominay and Fred were on the scoresheet.
Reds bag five
Winning by five goal-margin was a big win in a European game for the Reds. Last time Reds performed in the Old Trafford was four years ago when they beat Midtjylland in the same competition. On the Thursday match, the Reds dominated the ground from the beginning.
The last 16 awaits
Thursday’s victory mean that the Reds have progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League for the fourth-time in their history. And now they must get ready to meet bigger challenges from peers of the Premier League side like Wolverhampton Wanderers and Scottish club Rangers.
Ighalo off the mark
The striker appeared physically imposing on the ground especially when he held off a Brugge defender while looking for a team-mate to give the pass. His impressive game kept the Reds attacking on the Brugge.
