Sonali Bendre was suffering from metastatic cancer when she was at the peak of her acting career. She made her debut in 1994 with “Aag” and got recognition from movies like “Sarfarosh”, “Hum SaathSaath Hain” and “Kal Ho Na Ho”. She also hosted “India’s Got Talent” and appeared as a judge in “India Idol 4”. She went to New York for cancer treatment.

Manishah Koirala started her Bollywood career with “Saudagar” and soon came to known as the “EeluEloo” because song in the movie. He also acted with Salman Khan in “Khamoshi”. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was 42. She went to New York for treatment and was declared cancer-free in 2015.

Lisa Ray

The Indian-origin actress got popularity from the song “Afreen Afreen” of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan of Pakistan. She was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer but she became cancer-free in 2010 after fighting a brave battle with the disease. She also wrote a book “In Close to the Bone” in which she her memoirs. It is her story of defeating cancer.

Delhi L-G Asks For Making Necessary Arrangements For Security Of Protestors And Voters At Shaheen Bagh

The Lt. Governor asked police to boost security around Shaheen Bagh area after a man fired two rounds in air at the protestors. The police would put up more barricades to prevent outsiders from creating trouble at the protest site.

Since December 15, hundreds of people including men and women have been staging a sit-in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) at the Shaheen Bagh.

But the protest came into news when a man brandished a pistol to the protestors and fired two rounds in air. The police present at the site swung into action and apprehended the shooter.

The police have been asked to keep a close watch over the people visiting the Shaheen Bagh area. There would be barricades to prevent people from approaching the protest site and those that want to visit the site would be frisked. Also, the police would take help of locals to prevent any untoward incident from happening. The securing arrangements have been enhanced in the wake of Delhi elections on February 8.

Rajinikanth Got Scratched With Little Thorns While Shooting With Bear Grylls In Mysore

Superstar Rajinikanth and Thalaivaa said he was alright as news of his getting injured while shooting for adventurer Bear Grylls’ survival show “Man vs Wild”. He said that there were only some scratches and no major injury.

The Superstar was shooting for a special episode of “Man vs Wild” when he was scratched after coming into contact with little thorns in Mysore forests around Karnataka. After the shoot, he talked to reporters at the Chennai airport and said that he only received some scratches and no wounds.

Rajinikanth is the second Indian personality after Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be featured on the popular adventure show on Discovery. PM Modi appeared on the show in 2019 August.
