Where Pakistan Stands In Trade War With India?

Pakistan suspended trade ties with India on the eve of India repealing Article 370 and 35A. But little does the Pakistan know that it stands nowhere in the trade war with India.

United Nations Conference on Trade and Development

The 2018 UN data on bilateral trade between India and Pakistan puts latter at a loss. The total value of Indo-Pak trade is $2.8 billion but a large part of this trade is Indian export to Pakistan. It stands at $2.3 billion. India imports goods worth $500 million from Pakistan.

  1. India is less dependent on Pakistan for exports. Pakistan’s export to India is 1.63% of total exports. But India’s export to Pakistan is a meager 0.73%.
  2. Pakistan is more dependent on India for its imports. 3.9% of its imports are from India but it contributes only 0.09% in Indian import.
  3. Cement is the biggest commodity India imports from Pakistan. It is the only commodity accounting for more than 10% from Pakistan.
  4. Pakistan miserable depends on India for 40 commodities that are set to become expensive in the event of a trade war. India accounts for more than one-fourth of the total import of 17 of the 40 commodities.
  5. India and Pakistan would get hit with trade ban. Exporters of both the countries would have to look for markets for their products.
  6. India accounts for more than 10% of 26 goods in Pakistan. In the event of trade war with India, Pakistani exporters would face a severe crisis. For more information please visit our latest trending News

ISCKON temple will decorate the temple with 800 kg flowers but the good thing is that it is buying only Indian flowers. This time, no foreign flowers would be used for decoration. Also, the devotees will bring flowers with them.

ISCKON used to decorate temple with exotic variety of flowers brought from Thailand and other countries. But this year, the temple has decided to follow Indian. Flowers for decoration are ordered from different states of south India.

Carriage of Nandalal, bungalow and temple would be decorated with Indian variety of flowers. But the biggest attraction is the three-colored drapes designed with flowers. Air Chief Marshal Will Receive First Set Of 36 Rafale Jets In France On September 20

India will receive the first set of 36 Rafale fighter jets in a government ceremony on September 20. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoawith be there with the top brass of France for the ceremony. Senior officials of Dassault Aviation, the makers of Rafale will also attend the ceremony.

Rafale deal

On September 2016 in Paris, India inked an inter-governmental defense deal with France to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets at a cost of approximately Rs. 58,000 crore. France agreed to complete the deliver of jets in 67 months from the date of contract.

IAF preparing for Rafale jets

The IAF spent around Rs. 400 crore for developing infrastructure for the Rafale jets and on training of pilots. The jets would be stationed in two strategic airbases – Ambala air force station in Punjab and Hasimara base in West Bengal. Both the airbases are being upgraded with new hangers, shelters and maintenance facilities.

India-specific Rafale jets

Dassault is making India-specific jets that includes Israeli helmet-mounted display, 10-hour flight data recording, low band jammers, radar warning receivers and infra-red search and tracking systems.

Test flight

In July 2017, the Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa flew a Rafale jet at the Saint-Dizier airbase to experience the flight operation of the aircraft during his visit to France.

Corruption charges

Danger Alert!! Yamuna Water level has overlapped the danger mark in Delhi

PCB Receives Threat Mail For Indian Cricket Team In West Indies

Pakistan Cricket Control Board (PCB) received a threat mail for Indian cricket team from an anonymous account on Friday, August 16. The mail read that the Indian cricket team was in imminent danger of a threat attack in West Indies where it was playing a series of matches.

Threat mail

The PCB said that the threat mail has no mention of any terror group or any other hint of the terror attack on Indian cricket team. But PCB took a serious note of it and alerted the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the mail. The Indian cricket board BCCI also received a copy of the mail within 24 hours.

India’s response to the mail

BCCI apprised the Union Home Ministry about the threat to Indian cricket team in Antigua, West Indies. The Indian embassy in Antigua is sent an alert message and the Mumbai police was asked to take stock of the situation. The Director General of Police (DGP) of Maharashtra was updated about the mail and security of Indian cricket team boosted on the foreign soil.

On contacting PCB, it said that it didn’t comment on safety and security issues of cricketers. It further maintained that its role was to apprise the international community about the threat mail and that it was prompt in its action.

Present situation

Indian Airline Achieved huge success: Air India Come to be first Indian airline to fly over the North Pole!

On the last Independence Day, Air India celebrating its success through hoisted Boeing 777 aircraft over the North Pole and becomes the first Indian airline to operate commercial flights from the polar region.

Wing Commander AbhinandanVarthman will be conferred with the third highest wartime medal Vir Chakra on Independence Day. Sapper Prakash Jadhav and CRPF Dy ComdtHarshpal Singh will be conferred with Kirti Chakras. Prakash Jadhav would get the award posthumously. AbhinandanVarthman

The 35-year Wing Commander shot a F-16 of Pakistan Air Force with his Mig-21 Bison in an aerial attack after Balakot air strikes by Indian Air Force. Seconds after the kill, AbhinandanVarthman’s plane was hit by a Pakistani missile and he had to eject. He landed safely in Pakistan and caught by the military police.
