Rishi Kapoor’s Death: Condolences From The President And The PM
Rishi Kapoor passed away at 8:45 am in Mumbai. He was 67-year old and was suffering from leukaemia for a long time and had gone to abroad for treatment. Amitabh Bachchan broke the news of his death with his tweet. Also, there was official statement confirming his death by the Kapoor family.
The entire country plunged into mourning at the sad demise of Rishi Kapoor. Prominent personalities including the President of India, Prime Minister and Home Minister sent their condolences to the grieving family.

The President said in a tweet that the death of Rishi Kapoor was an irreparable loss to the cine world. He said that it was difficult to believe that Rishi Kapoor was an evergreen and happy personality and he was full of energy. And that it was sad to know that he was no more.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi
PM Modi expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Rishi Kapoor and that he was a multi-faceted, dear and lively personality. The PM said that Rishi Kapoor was a powerhouse of talent and that he would always remember his conversations with Rishi Kapoor over social media. He further said that Rishi Kapoor was passionate about films.
Union Home Minster Amit Shah
Amit Shah called Rishi Kapoor a veteran actor and said that he was saddened to learn about Rishi Kapoor’s death. He further said that Rishi Kapoor would always be remembered for his exceptional acting.
