Xiaomi will launch its latest 5G phones of flagship Mi 10 series in China. The new phones – Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro – sport 6.67-inch 2340 x 1080 OLED displays and feature Snapdragon 865 processors, dual-mode 5G, Wi-Fi 6, up to 12GB of RAM and wireless charging. Also, they boast of quad-camera configurations with a trendy 108-megapixel main shooter that can record 8K video.

Mi 10 Pro specification

It comes with 512GB storage, 50W fast wired charging and a slightly bigger display. On the contrary, the Mi 10 provides 256 GB storage and has only 30W charging capacity. But Pro packs a smaller batter (4,500mAh) in comparison to Mi 10 battery (4,780mAh).

Cameras

Mi 10 Pro features 108 MP sensor with an optically stabilized eight-element lens but Mi 10 has only seven lenses. The Pro packs a 12 MP lens for portraits; an 8 MP telephoto lens with 10x hybrid zoom; a 20 MP ultra-wide lens and 117-degree FOV.

Mi 10 comes with a 13 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 123-degree FOV and a pair of 2 MP cameras for macro shots and depth sensing. And top of the package is primary 108 MP sensor.

Price

China shipping of the phones would start tomorrow with a price of 3,999 yuan ($570) for Mi 10 and the Pro variant would cost about 4,999 yuan ($715). The Mi 10 Pro would be available from February 18th. Earlier the phones were said to be launched in Europe on 23rd February in Barcelona but the launch was cancelled due to novel coronavirus threat.

Samsung Unveils Galaxy S20 Flagships – S20; S20+ And S20 Ultra With Amazing Features

Samsung officially unveiled its range of S series 2020 flagship phones – Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. These flagships sport new 120Hz refresh rate displays. Direct upgrade of Galaxy S10, the new phone sports a 6.2-inch Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It is HDR certified and it supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It packs a 7nn octa-core processor and it is available in two variants – Exynos 990 Soc and Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC.

Galaxy S20 features a triple-rear-cameras including a wide-angle sensor, ultra-wide angle and a telephoto camera. Other camera features include a 3x hybrid optical zoom, super resolution zoom up to 30x and a new shooting mode called Single Take.

Samsung Galaxy S20+ specifications

The Galaxy S20+ is similar to S20 except in camera department where it packs and extra camera. It has a 6.7-inch QHD Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an infinity-O hole-punch. The batter is also slightly better than S20. Its battery is 4,500mAh.

Amazon Leaks Highly Anticipated OnePlus 8 Pro And OnePlus 8 Phones

An Amazon India affiliate page published pictures of two highly anticipated phones of OnePlus. But the brand has yet to make any confirmation about release of the published phones.

Upcoming phones of OnePlus

The brand is expected to release two new models OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in the first half of 2020 but the phones are featured alongside existing models of OnePlus on Amazon. The retail giant published the new phones from OnePlus with an advertising fee.

Specs of the rumored OnePlus phones

Both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are expected to carry similar design and features. The display would have hole-punch design. Also, it would be 120Hz QHD+ Fluid Display that the company accounted last month. Wireless changing is also expected as the brand has joined the Wireless Power Consortium.

The OnePlus 8 series phones are expected to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM. They would also pack Android 10 out-of-the-box. Earlier there were reports that the OnePlus 8 Pro would sport a quad-rear camera with Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor. It is also rumored that these phones would have a curved display panel.

The brand has yet to announce the launch date of the phones. But the OnePlus 8 was spotted with model number IN2011 on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database last month. But Amazon removed the listing soon after it was spotted and sent viral.

Mercedes-Benz 2020: The All-New GLE SUV Launched At Rs. 73.70 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz launched its all-new GLE SUV starring Rs. 73.70 lakh in India. It comes in two variants – GLE 300d and GLE 400d. While the first one is the base model and the latter is called a Hip-Hop Edition that is a direct import.

The new-gen GLE sports a fresh grille design; has an improved shoulder line and boasts large wheel arches. Also, it has got new headlights with two LED bars and a sporty tail-light design.

GLE 300d

According to the manufacturer, the booking for GLE 300d model has already been closed till March 2020 and the delivery would start from April. It packs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 245hp and 500Nm of torque.

GLE 400d

It is a higher variant and a direct import and for this reason it costs up Rs. 1.25 crore. It is powered by a more powerful 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel unit that generates 330hp and 700Nm of torque.

GLE 450d

It is the petrol variant of the new-SUV. It packs a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid system. The combined system output is 367hp and 500Nm of torque. But it is disappointing to know that the German carmaker isn’t launching this variant in India.

Electric car

Mercedes-Benz has plans to launch its first all-electric car for India. It is EQC and it is expected to be launched in April 2020. Also, the German carmaker has confirmed that it will launch new GLS models later this year.

WhatsApp Achieves 5 Billion Download Mark On Android; TikTok Becomes Number 2 In Download

WhatsApp for Android has clocked 5 billion downloads. This Facebook-owned instant messaging app has become the second non-Google app to achieve this high mark.

With 1.6 billion active users, WhatsApp outperformed Facebook Messenger that had only 1.3 billion users and WeChat that had only 1.1 billion users in 2019. Also, it is the third-most-popular social networking site after Facebook and YouTube.

Android Police reported that like most Android apps that reach high download milestones, WhatsApp downloads also include downloads from Play Store and pre-installed app in branded Smartphones like Samsung and Huawei. These Smartphone manufacturers provide WhatsApp in the pre-installed app’s packages.

South Korea was the fastest-growing WhatsApp market for Google Play Store. In 2019, the download of instant messaging applications increased by almost 56%. Also, Google became the top publisher of mobile apps beating Facebook and it happened for the first time in five years.

Analytics firm Sensor Tower reported that Google recorded 850 million downloads from its Play Store but Facebook could amass only 800 million. But Google is still far behind in the overall number of downloads from Facebook.

PUBG Mobile 0.16.5 Updates: Highlights And Advantages

PUBG Mobile has added new Domination game mode, Arena map, a vehicle and Royale Pass Season 11 among others in the latest 0.16.5 update. The new updated is available on Google Play and App Store for downloading.

New PUBG update

The update requires only 0.14 GB space on Android and 0.17 GB on iOS. The new updated Royale pass Season 11 Operation Tomorrow will have no downtime.

Soon Twitterati Will Be Allowed To Choose Who Can Reply To Their Tweets

Twitter will introduce a new feature to prevent trolls from hijacking conversations. Users will be allowed to choose who can replay to their tweets before they send their tweets. It will be rolled out for testing later this year.

New Twitter feature

The company has adopted an aggressive approach to prevent trolls and stop targeted harassment on its platform. The feature allows users to select people that can reply to their tweets from given options that include:

• Everyone
• Followers-only
• People only that are mentioned in the tweet
• Nobody

The tweets from public accounts would be visible to everyone but only the chosen viewers would be allowed to reply. But people can quote tweets from public accounts. According to Twitter’s director of product for conversations, Suzanne Xie, this new format for conversation didn’t exist before.

Twitter’s new move

The new feature is considered the boldest experiment to improve conversational health on social media. Earlier, it introduced “hide replies” feature to contain trolling but the users were required to manually hide replies and that was very unpractical especially when there were hundreds of replies to hide.

The ability to limit replies would help Twitter users from unwanted and unwelcome abuse and harassment out of nothing. It would dramatically improve their experience as they could choose the person that can add value to their tweets.

The feature is now available only to selected users and it will be made available for all after studying the findings of the experiment. If it is found to be useful, it would be provided to all.

Realme 5i: 5000mAB Battery, Quad Camera AndLow Price

After numerous leaks and teasers, Realme 5i finally saw the light on Monday in Vietnam. And this watered-down version of Realme 5 is expected to reach India by Thursday.

Realme 5i

It features a quad-rear camera setup and packs a massive 5000mAH battery. The screen size is 6.52-inch with a waterdrop notch and it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM.

Specifications

This dual-SIM Smartphone runs on Android Pie with ColorsOS 6.0.1. The HD+ 6.52-inch display has 89% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

The quad-camera setup includes a main 12MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The second camera is an 8MP lens with an f/2.25 aperture and a 118.9-degree viewing angle. The other two cameras are 2MP portrait camera and 2MP macro camera with 4cm closeup range. The selfie camera is 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture. The quad-camera allows 4K video recording at 30fps and slo-mo video recording at 120fps. Also, it has super night mode.

The new Realme 5i packs a powerful 5000mAH battery with 10W quick charging support. Also, it allows expansion of 64GB storage to 256GB via a microSD card. Sensors provided in the phone are compass, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and fingerprint sensor for authentication.

In Vietnam, the Realme 5i was launched at a cost of VND 3,690,000 that translates to Rs. 11,500 in Indian currency. But it is the cost of the 3GB and 32GB variant. The higher 4GB and 64GB variant is priced at VND 4,290,000 that is Rs. 13,500 in Indian currency.
