Nitish Kumar has resigned as Bihar CM from NDA and has joined hands with the mahagathbandhan where RJD is playing the big brother followed by JD(U) and Congress. Nitish Kumar also staked a claim for making government with the support of 164 MLAs of the mahagathbandhan.

The swearing-in ceremony of the Honorable Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister would be held on 11 August at 2 pm at Raj Bhavan, RJD said in a tweet from its official handle. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav would be Deputy Chief Minister this time.

BJP leaders from the state as well as the center have slammed Nitish Kumar for this move. Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that Nitish Kumar won’t get the respect he got while being with BJP.

Modi further said that BJP made Nitish Kumar CM despite having more seats and the saffron party never tried to break the JD(U). The senior BJP leader from Bihar said that BJP broke only those who betrayed the party. In Maharashtra, Shiv Sena betrayed BJP and faced consequences.

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad also slammed Nitish Kumar. The senior BJP functionary said that Nitish Kumar had left and said that BJP was trying to destroy his party. BJP made him a union minister several times. He was also made chief minister. Mr. Prasad questioned why Nitish Kumar re-thought his decision to an alliance with RJD in 2015 and came to BJP in 2017.

Nitish Kumar was disrespecting the mandate of Bihar’s people. It was the baseless allegation that BJP was trying to destroy JD(U) maintained by Ravi Shankar Prasad.
