New Vodafone Idea prepaid plans
VIL hopes to stem the declining average revenue per user (ARPU) with the increased plan. It is expected that the revised plans would end the telco’s struggle of survival and pave way for expansion, growth and development.
The VIL said that it was committed to offer simple, convenient and affordable products. It has curated an optimum range of feature rich plans for both voice and data users.
The new charges for popular unlimited packs would be Rs. 149, Rs. 249, Rs. 299 and Rs. 399. All the plans carry similar benefits except the data allowance and SMS quota.
Unlimited pack with 84 days validity now comes in three recharge options – Rs. 379, Rs. 599 and Rs. 699. Basic services are similar but data allowance and SMS quota are different. Also, there are annual unlimited packs of Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 2,399.
In addition to unlimited packs, VIL offers an unlimited sachet to cover short-term recharge needs. It would cost Rs. 19 and provide unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calling, 150MB data and 100 SMS for 2 days.
Combo recharges would be available in Rs. 49 and Rs. 79 for 28 days only. Rs. 49-recharge would carry Rs. 38 talk time, 100MB data and 2.5 paise per second call charge. Rs. 79-recharge would give Rs. 64 talk time, 200MB data and 1 paise per second call charge.
The new first recharge options are Rs. 97, Rs. 197, Rs. 297 and Rs. 647 with different benefits. Call charges (local, STD and national roaming) from Vodafone to Vodafone would be considered as on-net. Other calls would be off-net and their charges after free usage would be 6 paise per minute.
